City of Goodyear Event Production: Live Concert Setup

On October 17, 2025, we had the incredible opportunity to partner with the City of Goodyear Parks and Recreation Department to do what we do best: build an unforgettable live event from the ground up.

At Denver DJ Service, we specialize in full-scale event production for municipalities. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the massive equipment package and expert crew we deployed to make the City of Goodyear’s fall event a resounding success.

Building the Foundation: Stage & Power

An outdoor concert needs a robust, safe, and visually commanding focal point.

The Stage: We deployed the impressive EuroStage 2026, providing a massive, professional platform for the performers.
Reliable Power: Outdoor parks rarely have the built-in power required for massive AV rigs. We handled this by supplying complete stage power, utilizing a 45kw generator along with full power distribution and breakout cables to safely run the entire show.

Concert-Grade Audio Systems

To ensure crystal-clear sound reached every single attendee in the park, we brought out the heavy hitters.

The Main PA: We flew a top-tier QSC LA112 Line Array System, utilizing 4 boxes per side paired with 6 flown subs to ensure massive, even coverage across the audience area.
The Low End: To give the music that chest-thumping festival feel, we reinforced the ground with 6 JBL SRX282SP Dual 18″ Subwoofers.
The Stage Mix: For the talent on stage, we provided 6 QSC K12.2 Monitor Wedges so the band could hear themselves perfectly.
Control & Capture: Our audio engineers ran the show from front-of-house using a Behringer WING COMPACT 48-Channel Digital Mixer. We also provided a comprehensive Band Mic Kit, completely loaded with stands, wired mics, a drum mic kit, and DIs.

Dynamic Concert Lighting

Once the sun went down, the stage truly came alive thanks to our custom lighting package.

The Fixtures: We installed our Band-3 Lighting Kit, a massive visual array featuring 8 Moving heads, 4 Blinders, 5 Wash lights, and 4 LED Tubes.
The Control: To keep the lights moving perfectly with the music, the rig was operated using an ADJ WMX1 Standalone DMX Lighting Controller.

The Crew Behind the Magic

World-class gear is only as good as the technicians operating it. For the City of Goodyear, we didn’t just drop off equipment; we provided a full production staff.

Setup & Strike: Our logistics team handled the complete delivery and setup of all staging, audio, and lighting equipment.
Expert Operators: We supplied a dedicated A1 Audio Engineer and an L1 Lighting Designer for a full 10-hour day to ensure the show looked and sounded flawless from soundcheck to the final encore.
Engaging the Crowd: To tie the whole event together, we provided a professional MC for 3 hours to make announcements, introduce the acts, and keep the community’s energy high.
