Next-Level School Spirit: AASC Ohana State 2026 at Gilbert High School

School events have evolved. Gone are the days of a simple PA system in a gym. Today’s students expect a festival-level production, and on January 30, 2026, that is exactly what we delivered for the AASC Ohana State 2026 convention at Gilbert High School.

At Denver DJ Service, we specialize in taking school spirit to the next level. This wasn’t just a dance; it was an immersive experience that combined cutting-edge technology with hands-on fun. Here is a look behind the scenes at one of the most “sick” setups we have ever done.

The Centerpiece: A Massive LED Video Wall

When you want to grab the attention of hundreds of students outdoors, you need visuals that pop. We installed a stunning LED Video Wall as the backdrop for the main stage.

  • Daylight Visible: As you can see from the photos, the screen was crystal clear and vibrant even under the bright Colorado sun.

  • Dynamic Content: We ran custom motion graphics, event branding (“Step Up & DJ!”), and live visual effects that synced with the music, creating a professional concert atmosphere right on the track field.

Step Up & DJ: Students Take Control

The highlight of the day wasn’t just us performing—it was the students getting involved. We hosted a “Step Up & DJ!” interactive experience where students could jump behind the decks.

  • Hands-On Learning: Guided by our professional DJs, students got to touch the gear, learn the basics of mixing, and feel the rush of controlling the music for a crowd.

  • Unforgettable Moments: From Mario & Luigi costumes to superhero capes, the energy was infectious. Seeing the students’ faces light up as they transitioned tracks was priceless.

Full-Scale Production: More Than Just Music

To ensure every corner of the event was packed with entertainment, we brought out our full arsenal of event production gear.

The Stage & Dance Floor

We built a professional Stage Setup framed by truss towers and intelligent lighting fixtures, giving the event a true festival feel. But we didn’t stop there. We also laid down our LED Dance Floor, adding another layer of visual excitement that pulsed beneath the students’ feet.

Silent Disco & 360 Video Booth

For students who wanted a different vibe, we set up a Silent Disco area. This allowed them to grab a pair of headphones and choose their own channel, dancing to a different beat while still being part of the crowd.

  • Capturing the Vibe: To document the fun, our 360 Video Booth was spinning all day, creating instant, shareable slow-motion videos that students could post to social media immediately.

Conclusion

The AASC Ohana State 2026 event was a testament to what happens when school spirit meets professional production. It was loud, it was visual, and most importantly, it was interactive.

At Denver DJ Service, we don’t just show up to play music; we show up to create memories.
